These sublime, hand made architectural models, by Timothy Richards, are made in British Gypsum plaster. Links may be found between his work and that of Jean Pierre Fouquet and his son Francois, who made models in Paris during the late eighteenth century. Many of the models are made as limited editions. Most of the models shown have been commissioned either by organisations or individuals, and enter the range with their owner's consent. Every part is made in the studio by a team of craftsmen. Etched brass, white metal, copper, hand made glass and gold are the additional materials for finishing the models. In 2013 Timothy Richards won The Arthur Ross Award from the US Institute of Classical Architecture and Art for 'artisanship in the classical tradition'. His work attracts collectors world wide.
